The Women Issue from a Woman to Women Years ago I was having a conversation with my father on the phone about a certain issue in the church. I love my father very much, and we are able to talk to each other candidly. What came out of my mouth during our conversation was very profound to my heart. I said, “If the word of God is just that-the Word of God- then there is no more question. There is no more opinion, or point of view.” That statement was a reflection of a turning point in my life. My Heavenly Father had brought me to a place where I was convinced that the Bible was the Word of God. If we are going to walk with God and receive his kingdom, we have to reach that place to where we believe, trust in and rely on that Word. With that said, there is no “woman issue”. The only issue is, is that Bible the Word of God or not? If the Word of God is just that-the Word of God, then women must submit to their husbands;
Colossians 3:18
Ephesians 5:22
1 Peter 3:1 If the Word of God is just that-the Word of God, then women cannot teach or usurp authority over men;
1 Timothy 2:12 If the Word of God is just that-the Word of God, then women cannot be apostles, prophets, teachers, elders, or bishops;
1 Timothy 3:2
1 Timothy 3:12 Wives cannot have a wife! If the Word of God is just that - the Word of God, then to use the verse “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28) as a means not to submit to your husband, to teach men or to take the office of an elder when you are a woman is to ignore or go against all the above verses and others like them. Are these verses not the Word of God? And if the Word of God is our example, there were dozens of apostles, prophets and elders described in the New Testament, none of which were women. I did not see the power of God work in my life until I began to trust in that word. I had to believe it before I ever saw it work for me. Do you see that might be why the power of God does not work in you? If you wrestle with it, or disagree with it or have your own opinion about it, it just might be keeping you from becoming a partaker of the power that God demonstrated when He raised Jesus from the dead. And that’s scriptural, Jesus himself said, 16 My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. 17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
