"His leg is not broken" My wife and I own a sign company. Awhile back, while getting materials for a sign, I received a call. It was my wife. She had just spoken to my sons school. There had been an accident in his gym class and they said his leg was broken. I went to the school, and when I walked in, about 5 adults were surrounding him. Two of the staff pointed to his leg and where they believed it was broken. They were trying to put an air splint on his leg and everyone in that room was afraid. As I stepped up to Evan, they moved away. I placed my hand on his belly and said to him, get a hold of your heart. He appeared to be in pain. I told him to look at me. As he did, I told him to get a hold of his heart. God has taken quite a bit of fear out of me. I appreciate that I was able to stand in this situation. Evan immediately started to calm down. The adults were somewhat upset that I had spoken so strongly to Evan. They expected that I would join them in their fear and console him. The splint was now on his leg and they asked me what I wanted to do. The break was supposedly between his knee and ankle. I could see that his leg was a deep purple under his knee and behind his ankle. I told them that we would get his leg x-rayed. An ambulance was called and during the few minutes before its arrival, I continued to pray. Evan was now fairly calm. We were also down to 2 adults in the room. The others werent comfortable being there. When the ambulance arrived, Evan was ready to move. The EMTs removed the schools splint and replaced it with theirs. They made a point of saying his leg was obviously broken. It was a short trip to the emergency room, but also a very good one. As I followed, I prayed, thanking God that Jesus had bore our pains. I was reminded that not a bone of His was broken. During the trip, I heard Jesus say to me, I have not abandoned you. That helped me a lot. When we arrived at the hospital, Evan was placed into an emergency room. A nurse came in and prepared Evan for the Doctor. When the doctor came in, he asked what had happened. At this time, he couldnt see Evans leg since the splint was so big. He heard a description of the accident and stated, without checking his leg, that Evans knee was certainly destroyed. I told him that he was wrong and that the knee wasnt injured at all. I suggested he look at his shin. He was upset that I had corrected him, so he grabbed Evans knee and squeezed it. When he asked Evan if it hurt, Evan told him to stop. Evan said he was tickling him. That offended the doctor even more. The splint had now been removed, and we were told that Evan would need a series of x-rays to determine the extent of the break. They all walked out and left us alone. When I looked at Evans leg, I immediately noticed that all the discoloration was gone. The gym teacher and I had both seen the purple while at the school. I even pointed it out to him. The EMT's also observed the discoloration. It had been about 20 minutes since we saw the purple and now it was all gone. I asked Evan how his leg felt. He said it felt pretty good. I asked him to lift it up. He wasnt able to move it earlier. He lifted it up quite easily. He was also able to move his foot and put pressure on my hand. As I stood there, I knew that we didnt need to stay. The devil was pressuring me to stay. He was telling me that Evans leg was broken and that I would be responsible for that. God was showing me that there were spirits pushing me to subject Evan to their tests. God then put it in my heart to ask Evan if he was ready to leave. I asked him and he said yes, lets go. I told him that I believed that we didnt need to stay. He said he was ready to go home. At this point, I went to find the doctor. I ran into the nurse first and told him we were leaving. He asked me to speak with the doctor. I told the doctor we were leaving. He said that if we did so, it would be against medical advice. I told him that was fine and we were leaving. He wasnt happy about this and asked me to sign a release. After doing so, I told them we were going. The nurse said he would help Evan to the car while I brought it to the front. This only took about 2 minutes and when I pulled up, he said Evan had moved from the bed to the wheelchair himself. The wheelchair was used to take him out. The hospital required that. Evan then stood up and got into the car with virtually no help from me. We were out of the hospital. I took Evan back to our business to stay with us. When I told my wife what had happened, she wasnt surprised. We have seen many miracles since God has moved us here. This was one more. Two days later, as we walked into church, Evan said his leg was feeling much better. After the services, I asked him if he wanted Doyle to pray for him. He said yes and we went to Doyle. I explained to Doyle briefly what had happened, and he prayed. Evan then went outside to play. When I went out, he was running and jumping. He came to me and said that his leg felt great. The last part of this experience was going to be the return to school. They were disappointed that his leg was not broken. They also seemed upset that he felt fine. Wicked people take pleasure in others injuries. They also despise the power of God. You can believe anything you want. I am not a doctor. I do know that his leg was purple and in 20 minutes all discoloration disappeared. I do know that more than one medical person said it was broken and it wasnt. Ive learned not to trust in medicine. God is true, medicine is a lie. I am not telling you to stop going to the doctor. I am telling you what the gospel has done for my family and I. I thank God that He brought me to a place to hear the gospel. I thank Him that He is putting it in my heart.
