Can a Christian have a Devil?

Often, you will hear religious leaders say that once you are born again, you become a new creature. Old things pass away and all things become new. They tell you that a Christian cannot have a devil. Romans 10:8-10 are the verses that tell us what we have to do to be born again. We must acknowledge that Jesus rose from the dead, and confess Him lord.

I became born again 16 years ago. Immediately after receiving Jesus, God started to reveal the gospel to me. The gospel is defined in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, how that Jesus died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that he was buried and raised from the dead, according to the scriptures. Romans 1:16-17 states that the Gospel is the power of God unto our salvation, to everyone that believes. 1 Corinthians 15:2 tells us that we are saved IF we hold fast to the Gospel.

As God revealed the Gospel to my heart, the impossible happened, devils started to come out of me. I say this is impossible because religious leaders said that I couldn't have devils. You might wonder how I knew that devils came out of me? In the bible, when Jesus cast out devils, the devils tore the people (Luke 9:39) and came out screaming The first time I felt one come out, I understood what the word tear meant. When a devil would come out, something else would also happen. There would be a change in my heart. I could believe the Gospel more, and I didn't have that lust in my heart. At times, healings would accompany the devils departure. Fear would leave me. Unbelief would go. I was becoming stronger.

On one particular Sunday morning, I woke up around 4:00 am with excruciating pains in my side and lower back. It felt as though a stick was being rammed through me. There were other symptoms that accompanied the pain. I knew that the devil was attacking me and was convinced that I was dealing with kidney stones. Kidney stones are not caused by anything except a devil. I went on into church early and when Doyle arrived, he came to me and asked me what was happening. I told him about the symptoms but did not say anything about kidney stones. He at that point, said that God had healed Terry (Mai) and He would heal me. God had healed Terry from kidney stones. This confirmed what I believed was happening. Doyle told me to go on into the sanctuary while we worshipped. As we worshipped, I continued to set my heart on the Gospel. Doyle would periodically come and pray for me as the church worshipped God. Immediately, God started to deal with my heart. Doyle cast out devils from me through most of the worship service. I remember God dealing with the occult and witchcraft at that time. Remember that I was already born again. How could a Christian have a spirit of witchcraft or the occult? The answer is pretty simple. All you have to do is go to most churches and you'll most surely acquire those spirits. The ministers have them and seem most willing to pass them on. When your favorite minister tells you that you can't have a devil and you believe that, you just got one.

In Mark 16:15-18 tells us what happens when the Gospel is preached. People speak in tongues, devils are cast out, healings take place and people are raised from the dead. That Sunday morning, devils were cast out of me and I was healed from kidney stones. When Jesus healed the blind man, the religious people questioned the blind man about Jesus. They asked him if he knew Jesus was a sinner. The blind man said that he didn't know if Jesus was a sinner, but that before he was blind and now he could see. You say that a Christian couldn't have a devil. I had devils and when they left, so did the pain.

You will someday have to make a decision. Do you believe Jesus or do you believe your favorite preacher? You can choose to keep your devils/sicknesses, or instead believe the Gospel and be saved. Being saved is NOT a one time thing. To be saved means to be set at safety. Saved/salvation is anything that you need when you need it.

Jesus said "Repent and believe the Gospel". That hasn't changed. Repent, change your will. Believe what Jesus said and ask Him to show you if there are devils. Before you have a chance to say no, He'll cast them out of you.
