Being Delivered from the Law

I would like to share with you what God has done in my life in just this past week.

Last Saturday I sat down to read the Word of God and the Father directed me to read Hebrews. I have read the book of Hebrews dozens of times, but this time when I read chapters 7, 8 and 9 God started speaking to me about the Methodist Church and how it ministered to me the Law of Moses. I was reminded how our church was deeply set in tradition. I was an acolyte in this church. The acolytes were young ladies in robes carrying candlesticks and snuffers, who began the service by walking up the aisles, lighting the candles and opening the large bible on the podium. To become an acolyte we were asked to memorize the Ten Commandments. The more I read Hebrews the more I saw the similarity between the Methodist Church and the old covenant. I never saw the power of God in our church; we did not even believe it existed. The Father continued to minister to me in the days following the verses Mark 7:13, “Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition”, and Galatians 3:12, “And the law is not of faith”. Those words stayed with me all week.

At the same time that the Father was ministering to me those words, Doyle began to speak about the end times. He wrote on his website how God was dealing with his heart to begin to teach about what would take place in the years ahead. The Methodist Church I grew up in spent a lot of time talking about the end times with seminars and special speakers, but they ministered it in the spirit of fear. The more Doyle spoke and the more I considered what the Spirit was ministering to me about Hebrews the more I felt uneasy, shaky and my head would not stop hurting. What is also interesting is that my daughter, my son and I also had some physical problems that all began about the same time. This went on for several days.

Thursday evening before church I met Doyle in the hallway. After he said hello, I spoke up and told him to keep on talking, that with his speaking God was delivering me from ten years of end time teaching. I added that I have been shaking for two days. He replied back, “and you’ll shake one more day.” As I walked into the sanctuary I quietly prayed, “Jesus, I don’t want to shake another day!”

When we started to worship, I began to dance. As I was worshiping the Father and dancing, the power of God came up in my heart. I moved over to the seats and sat down. God started delivering me from the Law of Moses ministered to me by the Methodist Church. He also began delivering me from the fear the Methodist Church ministered to me about the end times. This went on for a good while. And do you know what? The uneasiness, shakiness and headache all left. The physical problems in my children and I also began leaving. On the way home that night this verse was ministered to my heart by the Spirit of God “And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight” Colossians 1:21,22. I want to thank God that He has granted me the grace of even seeing his kingdom and that it is working in my life!
